Philadelphia Eagles All-Pro cornerback Cooper DeJean knows one member of the New England Patriots that he would enjoy going up against.
Here’s one hint: it’s one of his former teammates.
During an interview at Fanatics Fest, the star defensive back acknowledged that it would be a fun battle if he could go head-to-head with New England Patriots receiver A.J. Brown. The two were teammates for the past two seasons, and according to DeJean, they have faced off only a handful of times in practices.
“I’ve only gone against him a handful of times in practice. I would love to go against him. I know he’d love to go against us, too, so it’d be a fun battle,” DeJean said on the Existing Mics panel.
DeJean will get his wish when the Eagles visit New England for back-to-back joint practices on August 19 and August 20 during training camp. Brown was traded by the Eagles to the Patriots back in June, and it will be his first chance to face off against his former teammates on the football field.
After the joint practices, the two teams will meet again for a Week 2 preseason matchup.
