Angel Reese and Reebok are collaborating once again to release a new colorway of the highly sought-after “Angel Reese 1” signature sneaker. According to a press release sent to The Blast, the all-pink edition of the sneaker will launch this Friday, July 17. This exciting news comes as Reese, 24, enters her third professional season and first with the Atlanta Dream. She continues to break records and establish herself as one of the most talented young players in recent years.
Angel Reese And Reebok Are Teaming Up To Release The ‘Expressive Pink’ Sneaker
Reese and Reebok are releasing the “Expressive Pink” colorway of the AR1 on July 17, just a few weeks after the Maryland native dropped the neon-green edition dubbed “Poison Angel.”
This new pair features the same exoskeleton upper, TPU stability cup, and the company’s signature Energy Return System (ERS).
The “Expressive Pink” colorway is … you guessed it … bright pink with hints of black throughout. The shoe’s heel cup also has a shimmery sparkle for added drama and pizzazz.
“The Angel Reese 1 ‘Expressive Pink’ colorway celebrates female empowerment,” said Reese. “I’ve always believed you don’t have to choose between being feminine and being fierce. This colorway is about owning both, and being bold every time you step on the court.”
Angel Reese Debuted Her Signature Sneaker In September 2025
The “Expressive Pink” colorway comes nearly a year after Reese and Reebok debuted the first edition of the signature basketball sneaker in September 2025.
“Reebok and I built something that’s true to who I am, and I hope it [pushes] others to stand in their power, too,” Reese said about the design. “At the end of the day, it’s built for basketball, made to move and perform at the highest level.”
Angel Reese Marks The Next Chapter For Reebok Basketball
Todd Krinsky, CEO and President of Reebok, discussed Reese’s partnership with the brand, stating her presence signifies “the next chapter for Reebok Basketball where performance meets personal style.”
“Every element – from the molded overlays to the heritage-inspired traction, was made to celebrate Angel and how she is redefining what it means to be an athlete,” he continued.
Reese expressed her excitement about her signature shoe and highlighted its versatile design when news of the shoe’s release first made waves. She said, “I really wanted a shoe that I could wear both on the court and during fashion moments in the tunnel, as well as at events and other significant occasions.”
The Atlanta Dream star partnered with Reebok while at LSU in 2023. She opened up about her decision in a previous interview, per The Blast, saying, “I want to go where I’m prioritized, and to be prioritized as a Black woman, and helping a brand come back and regenerate where it was, that was really important to me. They didn’t have a woman who was the face of their brand, and Shaq told me, ‘You could be the face of Reebok.’”
Reese Was Traded From The Chicago Sky
Before the start of the WNBA season, Reese was traded from the Chicago Sky to the Atlanta Dream. In the A, Reese joined forces with Allisha Gray, Rhyne Howard, Jordin Canada, and Brionna Jones.
The team, which went 30-14 last year, entered the 2026 season with championship aspirations. They started off strong, going 12-4, before hitting a slump and losing 5 games in a row.
Despite that, Reese and her teammates remain in good spirits. According to The Blast, she told the media, “We have [a few more] games going into All-Star, and any team in front of us should be scared because we’re ready, and we’re gonna continue to put our foot forward every day, watch film, get together and figure ourselves out.”
This NBA Star Believes Reese Will Push The Dream Over The Edge
Months ago, Carmelo Anthony commented on Reese’s trade and said she was the missing piece for the Dream team.
“To give Angel to a team like Atlanta, and they ain’t give no assets up, like they get to keep everybody over there, and you bring the leading rebounder in the WNBA, a double-double magnet, and she pass the ball… Atlanta becomes different,” he said.
According to Anthony, Reese’s move to Atlanta was also beneficial for her, stating, “Her level of play is going to rise with the level of competition and what you surrounded with. If you’re surrounded with people who [are] not thinking like you and don’t have the competitive nature you have, that sh-t can be draining. So, now you’re going to a team who has championship aspirations.”
