The Boston Celtics return to action after an extended midseason rest made necessary by the scheduling for the NBA Cup by making the trip to Wisconsin’s Fiserv Forum to take on a banged-up Milwaukee Bucks. This Thursday, Dec. 11, the Celtics will look to keep their current win streak alive — the best of the season to date — but will need to avoid playing down to their opponent in what could prove a bit of a trap game.
That said, we expect Boston to come out well-rested and ready to notch another victory against a team struggling to find some footing while a key player remains out.
Records, standing, and streaks
At present, the Celtics have a 15-9 record coming into tonight’s contest after winning their last four games. That is good enough for third in the Eastern Conference standings.
The Bucks are the owners of a 10-15 record, goon enough for 10th in the East.
What happened in the last game for each team?
Boston beat the Toronto Raptors 121-113 on the road.
Milwaukee lost to the Detroit Pistons 124-112, also on the road.
Injuries
For the Celtics, Jayson Tatum (Achilles) and Chris Boucher (illness) are out.
For the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) and Taurean Prince (neck) are out, and AJ Green (AC joint) is questionable.
