Everton manager David Moyes praised newcomer Jack Grealish after the midfielder assisted both goals in Sunday’s 2-0 Premier League victory against Brighton & Hove Albion. Grealish, on loan from Manchester City, impressed by showing determination and flair, with Moyes noting he “probably has something to prove.”
Grealish’s two assists matched his total in 49 league appearances for City, earning cheers from Everton fans when substituted late in the game. Moyes encouraged him to take on opponents and create chances, saying he “gave us something a little bit different today.”
Moyes also highlighted goalkeeper Jordan Pickford’s crucial penalty save against Danny Welbeck, which helped secure the win.
